Cancellation / Prepayment

  • Confirmation and Payment of Tour:

    Upon completing the booking form and agreeing to accepting the tour, Summer Rain Tours shall call or email  you for your credit card details to confirm the tour. Payment is due the day of the tour and your card details will be held until this date for the purposes of the cancellation policy. Payment of tour is due on the day of the tour. Payment by credit card, Cash preferred or Direct deposits and bank transfers may be arranged in advance of the tour date.

  • Tour Prices:

    Current tour prices are listed against each tour but are subject to change due to the fluctuation of  supplier increases, fuel and other surcharges and other reasons beyond our control. All quoted prices including the cost of tour operator planning and operation at the time of the booking will be firm. Each tour lists the items that are included in that specific tour. Please refer to the tour itinerary you are joining for pricing and inclusions. Generally all tastings, entrance fees, taxes, local pick ups and drops offs etc are all included. Generally meals are excluded unless indicated within the tour itinerary. If in doubt, please do ask.

In any event, Summer Rain Tours strongly advises you to take out travel insurance… its well worth the piece of mind.

We always suggest a call, email or text the day prior to your tour to ensure all your details are as they should be. It is not obligatory, but it helps.

If confirmed standard departure tour bookings are cancelled the following fees apply

  • > If Summer Rain Tours is forced to cancel a booked tour, any prior tour payments will be fully refunded ( other than third party booking fees).
  • > Summer Rain Tours operate in all weather, though reserves the right to alter or amend an itinerary if circumstances require.
  • Trip Cancellation, Health, Accident, Medical Evacuation & Baggage Insurance:

    For your protection comprehensive travel insurance is highly recommended and in the best interest of each traveler, to protect you before and during the trip.

Private, corporate and group bookings have special cancellation policies to ensure your exclusive experience. see below

Group Booking and Group Cancellation Policies1.    Definitions

i.    Groups are defined as four or more boats, or, 8 or more persons.

ii.    Groups also include any party which has benefited, or has been quoted as benefiting from a discounted bill because of size, affiliation, age or organization and will be subject to the Group Booking and Group Cancellation Policy.

iii.    Any reservations made for guided trips and/or outfitting packages will also be subject to the Group Booking and Group Cancellation Policy.

2.    Group Booking Policy

i.    All Group Bookings must be made at a minimum of 14-days in advance.

ii.    All Group Bookings must be accompanied with a credit card number, including an expiry date and a 3-digit verification code.

iii.    All Group Bookings are required to provide an advance 25% non-refundable deposit of the quoted total on the day the reservation is created. Failing to do so within 48-hours of when the reservation was made will void the reservation.

iv.    All Group Bookings involving minors (under the age of 19 years) must have WAO Waivers completed by the minor’s parent or legal guardian and received by WAO (by fax or email) no later than 3-days prior to the arrival of the group.

3.    Group Cancellation Policy

i.    Rental Cancellation Schedule

•    Cancellations made outside of 2-weeks prior to the reserved arrival of the group will be subject to a loss of only the 25% non-refundable deposit.

•    Cancellations made outside of 1-week prior to the reserved arrival of the group will be subject to a forfeiture equal to 50% of the quoted reservation invoice.

•    Cancellations made within 1-week prior to the reserved arrival of the group will be subject to a forfeiture equal to the total of the quoted reservation invoice.

ii.    Guided Adventure Cancellation Schedule

•    Cancellations made outside of 30-days prior to the reserved arrival of the group will be subject to a loss of only the 25% non-refundable deposit.

•    Cancellations made outside of 15-days prior to the reserved arrival of the group will be subject to a forfeiture equal to 50% of the quoted reservation invoice.

•    Cancellations made within 15-days prior to the reserved arrival of the group will be subject to a forfeiture equal to the total of the quoted reservation invoice.

iii.   All forfeitures will be charged immediately, however, the total amount less a $100.00 administration fee can be used as a non-transferable credit against a re-booking within the current WAO season. The credit can only be used against a re-booking made by, and for, the original party involved.

iv.     All bookings will run as planned, rain or shine, cold or hot, so please plan appropriately.

Accepted credit cards

These terms and conditions apply to bookings you make with our consultants (in-store, over phone or by email) as well as online bookings you make on our website.

Payments by Credit Card and Debit Card:

Credit card surcharges of 1.3% for Visa and 1% for MasterCard, 2.90% for American Express, and 3% for Diner’s Club will apply when paying by credit card.

Debit card surcharges of 1% for debit card Visa and 0.60% for debit card MasterCard, will apply when paying by debit card.

You authorise us to charge all fees incurred by you in relation to the services provided to the credit card or debit card designated by you. If payment is not received from the card issuer or its agents for any reason, you agree to pay us all amounts due immediately on demand.

Payments via PayPal:

An additional 1% fee will apply when paying by PayPal.

Payments by B-Pay (Not applicable to online bookings):

Please note that BPAY takes up to 3 business days to process. If you are paying by this method you will need to make the payment at least 3 business days prior to the actual due date. You must notify your consultant of your payment once it has been made.

Deposit and Final Payment (Not applicable to online bookings, which must be paid in full at the time of booking):

You will be required to pay a deposit or deposits when booking. Your consultant will advise you of how much that will be. All deposits are non-refundable for changes of mind or cancellations by you (subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law).  Final payment is required no later than 6 weeks prior to departure unless otherwise stated. Some airfares or services must be paid in full at the time of book
